Memorial Day weekend is said to be the kickoff to the summer season and nothing encompasses Sacramento summers quite like Swabbies on the River.

June is Pride Month and Sacramento has no shortage of ways to celebrate. Although the annual Sacramento Pride March and Festival will not be moving forward this year due to the pandemic, Sacramento Pride has joined forces with many local businesses to ensure we all have the opportunity to celebrate PRIDE!

Shangri-la is probably the most unique architecturally designed restaurant in all of the Sacramento region. It has the best patio dining experience you could ask for. The decor features retro pops of color mixed into an upscale modern design with a Palm Springs atmosphere. The expansive patio is filled with palm trees and potted greenery and the Bocce Ball court is lined with pink flamingos. You can gather around one of the many fire pits while sipping on craft cocktails and savoring their ever changing menu handcrafted with local fresh seasonal ingredients.

Summer is my favorite season! I love the sun, I love the warmth, and I love all the activities the season brings. No matter what summer means to you, most likely Sacramento has you covered. Even on those hot summer days, once the delta breeze kicks in and the sun starts to set you really can’t have a more perfect summer evening than in Sacramento.
