Are you a foodie like me? Summer brings us so many options for local produce. For the home chef we have a plethora of Certified Farmers Markets spread out all over the Sacramento region that are open Tues – Sun. For those that enjoy the experience of eating farm fresh local in season ingredients prepared by a professional chef, we have several Farm to Fork Restaurants that change their menus daily, weekly, or monthly to keep up with the best quality ingredients they can get their hands. Ella Dinning Room and Bar happens to be my favorite, I even had my wedding dinner there!

On top of loving our food scene I am also a bit of a concert junkie. From big name bands to local singer/songwriters we have venues to showcase every type of talent. Although concerts happen year-round, the summer season brings Patio Parties, Concerts in the Park, and live music at many local breweries and wineries.
Wildwood Restaurant in The Pavilions has live music on their dining room patio every week from Thur – Sun night. Get some dinner, grab a drink, and enjoy some local bands.

Palladio Shopping Center in Folsom has a Wed Night Summer Concert series. You can do some shopping, grab some food, and then end your evening with some live music.
Concerts in the Park at Cesar Chavez Park in Downtown Sacramento was one of the original outdoor concert series that started it all in the Sacramento region. This year the concert series was not able to start back up, but they will be back in action in the Summer of 2022.
For the sports enthusiasts who love America’s favorite pastime, Sacramento has our own Minor League baseball team, the Sacramento River Cats who are a Triple-A affiliate of the San Fransisco Giants. Even if you aren’t a huge baseball fan, getting a lawn seat ticket, grabbing a hot dog and beer, and watching a game with a group of friends is something many Sacramento residents do during Summer.
If you are a movie lover we have a drive-in movie theater and some great spots to get food, a drink, and watch a movie under the starry Sacramento evening.
Drakes Brewing Company is located along the river in West Sacramento. They have food trucks, pizza, beer, fire pits, and is one of the best spots around to gather outdoors. Check out their events page for their BarnFlix series.
Last but certainly not least, water sports! Sacramento has so many options for being on a river or lake. Whether you want to go boating, wakeboarding, skiing, kayaking, white water rafting, paddle boarding, fishing, or just floating we have it!

There is actually a lot more to do in Sacramento and I could really go and on but I will save that for some future blogs. This should be enough to get your Sacramento summer started or give you reasons to come check our city!
